Preschool Academics

Our preschool classrooms are designed to meet the individual needs of each child. Activities are designed to meet many developmental levels of all children in the classroom. Schedules are designed to have a balance of active and quiet activities, child initiated and teacher directed projects, individual, small group and large group interactions which help the child to develop in all domain areas: spiritual, cognitive, language, emotional, creative and physical (fine and gross motor) development.

God’s love is the motivating force in our curriculum. The Bible provides orientation for all subjects and learning experiences. Children attend chapel on Wednesday and have Jesus Time the other days of the week. They hear Bible stories, do activities, and practice sharing the love of Jesus.

In addition to our Bible Story Curriculum, a wide range of theme based activities are presented each day to help meet the varying developmental needs of the preschool age child. Through a series of thematic units that span the school year, new skills are learned and hands-on activities are provided to expose each child to pre-reading & writing skills, pre-science concepts & experiments, pre-math concepts, creative art, dramatic play, movement, and social studies.

Classroom activity/learning centers are designed to promote learning through hands on activities.
